Good morning bunnies! The promo schedule is coming day by day for the next months … Many live performances are scheduled! And one more has been added yesterday! In deed Leona will perform along JLS, Mcfly and Lawson at the next Clyde 1 Live Concert on December 13th in Glasgow!

Clyde 1 Live is bursting back into Scotland this December with the hottest line-up yet.

Music lovers are set to enjoy an early Christmas present as JLS, McFly, Leona Lewis and Lawson take to the stage at Glasgow’s SECC on December 13, for what promises to be an unmissable show.

Yes, just as it looked like the fun of the summer festivals was well and truly over, this musical multi-act pop show was announced, to chase away the winter blues. We’re very excited.

And just to add to the excitement, more acts are due to be added to the star-studded line-up in the run up to show.

The JLS lads love playing in Scotland and can’t wait to showcase tracks from their forthcoming album, Evolution, which is set for release on November 5, as well as their much loved back catalogue of hits. They’ll certainly Make You Wanna party.

Leona Lewis will make a triumphant return to the stage after a two year absence, just after her new album Glassheart is out on October 15th. That’s sure to be something special.

McFly will have the audience on their feet as they rock out everybody’s favourite tunes, as well as their new material, while lovely Lawson are ready to unleash tracks from their new album, Chapman Square, on their adoring Scottish fans.

George Bowie, presenter of the Breakfast Show on Clyde 1, said: “Clyde 1 Live is the biggest night on the Clyde 1 calendar… Leona, JLS and Lawson will be great on the night and I can’t wait to see them and all of the other acts joining them on the bill.”

Tickets for the event are available by calling Ticket Soup on 0844 395 4000 or by visiting www.ticketsoup.com. Prices for the event are £27.50, £30 and £50

Doors for the December show are at 18:30. Under 14’s must be accompanied by an adult.

The brand new Leona album is released on October 15th and I can confirm that the album is one of her best.

Glassheart, which was originally scheduled for release in 2011, features contributions from Emeli Sande, Naughty Boy, Darkchild and Ryan Tedder, who’s been working with Leona since Bleeding Love in 2007.

And as the saying goes, all good things come to those that wait, as Glassheart’s fusion of pop, dance, rnb and soul has delivered Leona one of her strongest collections of material.

Leona told me “It’s definitely a progression and I’ve taken a lot of different influences, put them in and made them my own. I’m just really proud of it; it has taken a while, it’s taken two years but it was all for a reason. Obviously there was a bit pressure to deliver it but I knew that it needed to have this time..”

Leona also revealed that co-writing with Emeli Sande was ‘an amazing experience.’ Emeli co-wrote new single Trouble as well as new tracks Sugar and I To You, which is one of the stand-out tracks on the album. “I’ve found a good song-writing partner in Emeli Sande. She just knows and she’s got great instincts. I To You is one of the songs we co-wrote and I just love that song..”

Leona also chatted to me about working with Naughty Boy (“he has piranhas in his studio”), Darkchild ( I’ve always wanted to work with him”) and described Ryan Tedder “as a great friend. he came up with the word Glassheart..when we talking about relationships and things I’d gone through. He was saying that you have to protect yourself and you have to keep yourself safe, as your heart is very sacred and fragile but it’s still strong, as I’ve been coming from a place of being more protective about myself and relationships..”

2012 was also the year Leona returned to the UK X Factor, when she appeared as guest judge at the London auditions. She told me “I was so nervous about appearing as judge that I almost pulled out the night before..I even rang my manager asking if I could pull out as I felt so nervous! Of course she said no and once I was there, I really enjoyed it and it felt very natural. I got on with every one on the panel especially Gary, so yeah I’m glad I did it”

Leona returns to the show next weekend to perform new single “Trouble” on the first Sunday results show. “I’m so nervous but excited; I can’t wait. I do get a bit nervous yeah, I try not but I just do..especially going back to the X Factor as it’s ingrained and something so big and scary.” But she will miss not seeing Simon Cowell sitting on the panel? ” I like it when Simon’s there as he so supportive and actually it’s kind of a comfort, I know that sounds weird..he’s always got good things to say. But he’s really into my new album and really proud of it..he always supported me taking more time to record so yeah, I’ve got a lot of respect for him.”

We also talked about why you’ll read too many stories about her private life, her plans for a Spring tour and her recent switch to Veganism. Oh and have a listen to her talking about her passion for 70s horror films and all things scary! Oh yes!

Loved catching up with Leona, as ever, and rate Glassheart as one of the best albums I’ve heard this year.

Besides, she’s just been confirmed as one of the act of the next BBC Children in Need concert, that will take place October 28th at the London’s Savoy Theatre and will be host by Sir Terry Wogan. More informations below! As for us the date has just been added to Leona’s agenda.

Weekend Wogan returns to London’s Savoy Theatre on 28th October 2012, as Sir Terry Wogan hosts a live concert for BBC Children In Need.

He’ll be joined by special guests including Dionne Warwick, Leona Lewis, The Overtones, Matt Cardle, James Torme plus Melanie C and Emma Bunton of the Spice Girls, all performing live on stage.

For a second year running the Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Orchestra will also feature as the very special house band.

Following his radio show Terry will be hosting a very special Celebrity lunch and auction at the Savoy Hotel, also in aid of Children In Need.

It’s just over two weeks until Leona Lewis‘s long-awaited third studio album Glassheart hits stores on October 15.

After being delayed by a year, we were just a little bit intrigued to hear what X Factor‘s prized diva had been working on and, to our relief, we weren’t disappointed.

‘Trouble’
Like ‘Bleeding Love’ and ‘Happy’ before it, this is Leona’s big, emotive power-ballad of an opener. It’s dark, heart-tugging and pure class.

‘Un Love Me’
Light Snow Patrol-esque guitar plugs and a thudding bass beat serve as the backdrop for Leona’s intricate falsetto, which is allowed to take centre stage. The production is subtle, but the result is epic.

‘Lovebird’
Weirdly, the intro has a ‘Bleeding Love’ organ, before some ‘Better In Time’ piano comes in. However, ‘Lovebird’ develops into a mid-tempo ballad that centres around the catchy hook: “Your lovebird’s flying away/ And my heart’s been stuck in a cage/ I’ve gotta sing my/ Song so pretty, dum-dum dee-dee.”

‘Come Alive’
This is Leona’s electronic serenade. Her voice towers above a crash of dubstep wobbles with break beats, before it pulsates into a techno finale. If this were a visual spectacle, it would be green lasers in a gothic castle.

‘Fireflies’
It begins with Leona singing over a rotating piano riff, before an orchestra of strings flourish while she chants: “Fire! It’s only fire!” It results in a hippie, gospel number that sits comfortably with the star’s previous offerings.

‘I To You’
“You are love, you are sin/ You’ll alway be everything, everything/ To me,” Leona declares while backed by a band of swooping strings. On the first couple of listens this feels like an album track, but a very good one nonetheless.

‘Shake You Up’
The cutest voice-over clip of Leona asking “Can you turn the music up a little bit please?” plays before Darkchild’s ’80s pop gold ensues. It’s packed with groovy synths, an addictive hook and is the kind of mid-tempo hit we imagine a young Whitney would’ve recorded.

‘Stop The Clocks’
An electronic-lite love song about spending an infinite amount of time with her beau, the track is a nice head-nodding ditty that could easily slip onto previous album Echo.

‘Favourite Scar’
An ear-pleasing piano riff that slightly resembles church bells is joined by one of the most direct tones and clearest diction we’ve heard from Leona. What’s more, it’s not the kind of Ryan Tedder collaboration we’ve come to expect from LeLe; hip-hop beats and attitude give it an almost Rihanna quality.

‘When It Hurts’
A pleasant piano-led ballad with crashing beats and some light electric guitar riffs serve as a backdrop to Leona’s claims that “you love it when it hurts”.

‘Glassheart’
DJ Frank E has sprinkled the title track with pumping club beats and chart-friendly dubstep breakdowns. It acts as a welcome change in pace during the latter stages of the record and definitely grows on repeated listens.

‘Fingerprint’
Delicate piano twinkles underlie Leona’s rich lower register, before she is let loose with soaring falsetto over added crashing echoes and strings before the song’s end. The message centres around a loved one being irreplaceable (“No match, no match, no match for your fingerprint/ No substitute, no other you”).

Verdict:
After only a couple of spins, Glassheart already feels like Leona’s strongest collection to date. There are plenty of singles to be lifted here, so our only hope is that Syco doesn’t deliberate this time around when it comes to future cuts.
