Hello everyone! An amazing news has surfaced the internet this weekend! For several days we’ve seen that Leona’s been posting on her instagram and twitter, photos of a mysterious dance rehearsal she’s been working on in Italy, and we were wondering what was that all about. Well UK’s local newspaper, ‘The Mirror’ has revealed the mistery behind the photos/tweets. They reported yesterday that Leona will be starring on a new Hollywood musical!! They also revealed that Leona has big plans for her new christmas album to be released this year. Thanks to d56 from DigitalSpy’s LLAT, we have exactly what the newspaper published on its printed version yesterday (08/09/13):

Jazz hands at the ready – Leona Lewis is starring in a new Hollywood musical.
Get ready for the Bleeding Love singer, 28, to break into random song with random people and have bunny rabbits follow her down the street. I’m told: “The musical has an Eighties theme.
“It will be an all-singing and all-dancing spectacle and is currently being filmed in Italy.
‘Leona will spend the next two months over there”
The film’s producers are “excited” to have Leona on board in her first acting role. She has had lots of offers for musical roles but held out until this part “leapt out at her”.
After filming she will be back in the UK to promote a new album, which will be out at Christmas. I’m told, “There are big plans for a comeback single”.
Exciting stuff.

It’s been a tricky few years for songbird Leona Lewis. Hailed as the second coming of Mariah Carey (with mammoth like success to match), the singer seemed poised for global superstardom.

Yet, a mishandled sophomore album and an incredibly mis-judged third album have left the Londoner in quite the precarious position.

And while not vocalizing the usual “artist done wrong” narrative that so many in her position employ, The X Factor alum is letting her actions do the talking instead.

Full story after the jump…

In a surprising yet not entirely shocking move, the 27 year old this week announced that she had parted ways with Modest! management. Of course touted as “amicable”, Lewis said of the team who had steered her career since the start:

“I greatly enjoyed my time working with Modest! and I’m very proud of all the things we achieved together. I would like to thank them for all their hard work and support over the years. They played an important role in my career and I’ll always be grateful to them. I’m looking forward to a new chapter in my career.”

Modest! swiftly added:

“We were very proud to have Leona on the Modest! roster and of everything she has achieved. We wish her all the best in the next phase of her career.”

According to Music Week, the parting may indeed be as “amicable” as suggested (rare for an industry famed for saying one thing, but meaning another). For, Modest! are believed to be helping the star secure management in the US – with Front Line being touted as one of the major juggernauts in the running.

In the interim, Lewis will embark on a short European tour in support of her latest LP ‘Glassheart’, which -upon release last October-peaked at #3 in the UK and #4 in Ireland. The ‘Trouble’ led set was not released in America.

Plans thereafter will see the vocalist hit the studio to record her fourth project. Reacting to news of her management split, a spokeswoman for record label Syco issued a statement saying:

“Leona Lewis is one of the UK’s most successful artists, one of a few that have enjoyed huge global success in recent years selling more than 20 million records worldwide.

She will begin the recording of her fourth album imminently to be released later this year. She remains a key priority artist for Syco and for Sony Music Worldwide.”

What do YOU think ?

Modest! Management and Leona Lewis have amicably ended their working relationship after six years together.

Whilst working with the UK management firm, Lewis broke global chart and sales records – and became the first British female artist to debut at Number One in the Billboard Album Charts.

Since working with Modest!, the artist has sold over 20m records worldwide, with single Bleeding Love going to No.1 in 30 countries.

Modest! directors Richard Griffiths and Harry Magee told Music Week in a statement: “We were very proud to have Leona on the Modest! roster and of everything she has achieved. We wish her all the best in the next phase of her career.”

Lewis said: “I greatly enjoyed my time working with Modest! and I’m very proud of all the things we achieved together. I would like to thank them for all their hard work and support over the years. They played an important role in my career and I’ll always be grateful to them. I’m looking forward to a new chapter in my career.”

Music Week understands that Modest! is helping Lewis find new management located across the Atlantic, with discussions taking place with Front Line and others.

Lewis has just finished the European ‘Art on Ice’ tour, which will be followed by headline German and UK tours which culminate with two dates at the Royal Albert Hall in May.

The 27-year-old’s third studio album, Glassheart, was released in October last year via Syco/RCA. It reached No.3 in the UK charts and No.4 in Ireland.

Good evening everyone! It is THE big rumour of the week in Leona’s fans world! Rumour has it Leona Lewis next single (following ‘Lovebird’) could be the fans and reviews favorite ‘Glassheart’! Here is a bit of explanation:

This weekend Dennis Jauch, dancer and current boyfriend of Leona Lewis, has been tweeting some of his dancer friends asking them to come to the auditions for the video he’s choreographing for Leona’s next single “Glassheart“. He’s also replied to a couple of fans saying that it’s to be confirmed as a future single when they’re shooting it. It seems this will be the first worldwide single from the album and whose promotion would extend the U.S. market to finally get to launch the American version of the album with bonus content for this upcoming Spring. The Labyrinth Tour 2010

IT’S been five years in the making but Leona Lewis is finally planning to tour America.

The singer was supposed to support Christina Aguilera in the US on her 2010 Bionic tour but the gigs were cancelled.

But LeLe told me plans are now finally in motion to showcase her amazing vocal talents to her US fans.

She said: “I’m going to tour the US some time next year.

“I was supposed to support Christina Aguilera but it fell through, so we will see if we can do something like that another time.

“I’ve never toured over there so I can’t wait.”

Leona’s critically acclaimed new album Glassheart looks likely to chart at No2 today.

But despite missing out on the top spot the star seemed happy enough, giving the thumbs up to the paps while out on Friday night.
