Seven years on from first stepping into the limelight and some 20 million single and album sales later, global singing sensation Leona Lewis returns with her brand new, much anticipated single Trouble on 7th October. The single is taken from Leona’s forthcoming third album Glassheart, which is released the following week on 14th Octobe

Trouble is an anguished epic journey that reveals ethereal, haunting tones that simultaneously showcase the sheer power and intimacy of Leona’s incredible voice. Trouble was written by a stellar cast of home grown talent; Emeli Sande, Naughty Boy, Craze and Hoax, Fraser T Smith and Leona herself, resulting in a standout track that she is incredibly passionate about.

Trouble was produced by Fraser T Smith and Naughty Boy.

Of the track Leona said, ‘Trouble tells the story of love going bad and becoming destructive, aspects of which we can all relate to. It’s a deeply emotional and poignant song that I have a real connection to.’

US rapper Childish Gambino brings an extra something special to the track with his featured rap.  Leona said, ‘I wanted someone who was creative and poetic and witty and he ticks all those boxes and compliments the record perfectly.’

Trouble is the first track to be released from Leona’s third album Glassheart.  A real labour of love, Leona has spent time putting together an album that she is immensely proud of.  It was during a recording session with esteemed producer Fraser T Smith (Adele, Florence & The Machine, Plan B, Britney Spears) that Leona really found the soul of Glassheart, so much so that she brought Fraser on board to exec-produce the whole album.  The result is an inspired and passionate follow-up to her previous two Number 1 albums.

Trouble marks the highly anticipated return of the UK’s Number 1 vocalist and, as only Leona can, delivers a superior world class performance that was well worth the wait.

Hey guys, after some checking online, i have found a chinese website revealing the lyrics of Leona Lewis new single “Trouble”! If we judge by what we already know as lyrics, about the new single, those lyrics COULD be the real one! We just have to wait for the confirmation from the official team! Have a look!

Leona Lewis – Trouble

I know, that you have been missin’ me
You made it so happy for me to believe
I tried everything to get across
and all you did was tell me I was your loss

I didn’t mean to go
be we end up on the road
why did you have to leave
tell me to be
who I wanna be, but that just ain’t me

I told you never to get used to me, I stay awake while you fall asleep.
I’m a whole lot of trouble, we’re in a whole lot of trouble.
You shout louder than you used to, and you hold on tighter in the bedroom.
I’m sorry I don’t miss you, just wish I could kiss you

Why did you try to buy, your way out of the fight
I didn’t think you would try,I thought you wouldn’t mind
We all have to go and we’ll end up at the road
Just hold your head up as we reach our path

I didn’t mean to go
be we end up on the road
why did you have to leave
tell me to be
who I wanna be, but that just ain’t me

I told you never to get used to me, I stay awake while you fall asleep.
I’m a whole lot of trouble, we’re in a whole lot of trouble.
You shout louder than you used to, and you hold on tighter in the bedroom.
I’m sorry I don’t miss you, just wish I could kiss you

LEONA LEWIS’s new single Trouble has been a long time coming.

But the wait should be worth it.

The song, co-written with Emeli Sande, debuts on radio next Tuesday and looks bound to be a hit.

It sounds a lot like Scot Emeli’s music but also like the Massive Attack songs Unfinished Sympathy and Teardrop.

At the end of the track is a decent guest rap from Childish Gambino, which will help to shake off Leona’s safe image.

And talking of change, Leona herself looks to have had an interesting makeover.

Her third album, Glassheart, was originally due out in November last year but is now set for release on October 14.

Trouble will definitely make people interested in the full album.

SIMON Cowell has nicknamed Tulisa as Trouble but it’s The X Factor’s vocal queen Leona Lewis who is putting the word to best effect.

This dirty-edged, tough track – co-written by Olympics closing ceremony singing sensation Emeli Sandé – is a cracking comeback single for Leona.

Yes, we know she can do ballads, but this mid-tempo song, with epic strings, sharp lyrics and a slammin’ rap from Childish Gambino, takes Leona bang up to date.

Talking about the tune, out on October 7, Leona explained: “Trouble tells the story of love going bad and becoming destructive, aspects of which we can all relate to. It’s a deeply emotional song that I have a real connection to.

“I wanted someone who was creative and poetic and witty and Childish ticks all those boxes and complements the record perfectly.”

Get ready to view 27-year-old Leona in a whole new light.

Trouble hits radio on August 21.

She scrubs up squeaky clean but Leona Lewis has revealed she’s a whole lot of trouble in the bedroom and drives her lovers to booze and fags.

The former X Factor champ has turned all hip hop with comeback track Trouble, busting out some rap to air her bedroom woes.

On the single she bleats: ‘You smoked 10 now it’s 20… bet you wish you never met me.’

The 27-year-old explains: ‘Trouble tells the story of love going bad and becoming destructive, aspects of which we can all relate to.’

Written by Emeli Sande, the track features a guest turn from rapper Childish Gambino and makes up part of Leona’s third studio album, Glassheart, which is due for release on October 15.

The single hits the airwaves on Tuesday.

We had a listen to the rather epic Leona Lewis (feat Childish Gambino) single ‘Trouble’ earlier.

Actually we first heard it a lot earlier, because there was a version of the song knocking around when we heard ‘Collide’ over a year ago, and it instantly seemed like the sort of song that could find itself at the centre of the whole album campaign once the fun but flighty ‘Collide’ was out of the way.

Obviously the whole ‘Collide’ thing turned into a bit of a shitshow what with the Avicii business, meaning that the Leona funbus had to pull onto the hard shoulder while she looked at the map for a bit. After an odd EP of covers (if Leona Lewis appears on The X Factor without a product to sell, does the choir really make a sound?) we’re back where we would have been anyway, with all eyes on ‘Trouble’.

The final, beefed-up version seems to have retained the gloom-laden but beguiling feel of the track we first heard last year. The lyrics to this Emeli Sandé-penned tune involve Leona telling her partner that she’s bad news and has been all along: ”I told you never to get used to me, I stay awake when you fall asleep, I’m a whole lot of trouble, we’re in a whole lot of trouble.”

It’s usually difficult to imagine Leona Lewis being problematic when it comes to anything other than using up too much printer ink when printing out horse photographs off the internet, but this is a convincing, compelling and dramatic vocal performance which works brilliantly against the song’s opulent but bleak mid-tempo production. (It’s not too much of a stretch to imagine that ‘Unfinished Sympathy’ was probably one of various reference points along the way.)

Some people will probably be quite excited about Childish Gambino being on the track. It’s a good guest spot (“we were something together I wouldn’t call it team”, “big trouble and little kindness”, “I fell in love with the wrong dream” etc etc) but the fact that there’s a guest spot at all feels like someone, somewhere lacks the confidence in Leona Lewis being able to pull off a single by herself. Perhaps after ‘Collide’ they’re right. It’s probably, like most things in most songs by most people, just an attempt to get the song on the radio. Either way, and despite the feeling that it slightly dilutes Leona’s big comeback, the rap in the middle eight sounds great so at the end of the day music is the real winner here.

Ultimately ‘Trouble’ feels like the right song for this moment in Leona’s career. It’s out on October 7 with the album to follow a week later, but you’ll be able to hear ‘Trouble’ next Tuesday because that’s when it gets its radio premiere.
